Building top HR strategies in Sydney and Melbourne
Where better to discuss world-class HR practices, than at the world-class Sydney Opera House?
Talent expert Kimberley Hubble, CEO Asia Pacific, of Hudson RPO, and global leader in strategy innovation Mark Hawkins, Partner at Orange Squid, led a special educational workshop on HR innovation in Sydney.
Mark’s session — which featured at all three events — focused on how to orchestrate sustainable innovation. He explained how to achieve this across an organisation, addressing:
- why innovation is important
- innovation strategy
- culture and structure
- people and capability
Within strategy-building, participants learned how to establish and measure innovation goals. They also explored how to design high-performing organisational structures, including roles, funding, and process.
Reflecting on the session, Kimberley said: “If you do all of the above properly, then an innovative culture should be the result. It’s not the starting point.”
Another group of leaders gathered at the stunning Vue de Monde, Rialto Towers, to share their perspectives on HR innovation in Melbourne.
In addition to exploring the topics highlighted above, the group explored how innovation underpins competitive advantage.
They also talked with Kimberley and Mark about what drives a culture of innovation, and how leaders can set the tone for innovation to flourish.
Kimberley said: “We are glad to have met so many inspirational talent leaders from Sydney and Melbourne! These conversations have highlighted the extraordinary opportunity leaders have to transform their organisations through innovation. We are delighted to support you on your journey.”
Reflecting on innovation with Singapore’s HR leaders
The first Dynamic HR event took place in Singapore. Participants explored ways to improve an organisation’s culture and capabilities.
Attendees were particularly engaged on the topic of cost per hire, what this metric should include, and how cost per hire can be improved based on different talent solutions.
Talent expert Kimberley Hubble, CEO Asia Pacific, led the session. She was supported by Yulia Grishina, Director of Client Solutions in Asia, who organised the event.
In addition, we were delighted to collaborate with Mark Hawkins, partner at Orange Squid. Mark helped deliver strategy tips for HR innovation in Singapore, addressing the importance of innovation, people, and culture.
Kimberley said: “Thank you to all of the fantastic Singapore-based HR leaders who attended. We enjoyed interacting with each of you! We are delighted to help you further develop your strategies for game-changing innovation led by HR.”
Meanwhile, if you’d like to continue learning, Yulia recently wrote about choosing between RPO vs. a recruitment agency in Singapore. It’s worth a read by anyone who finds themselves at the helm of talent leadership in Singapore. Enjoy!
