PRECARIOUS ECONOMIC STATE BREEDS SALES PROFESSION UNREST
While both corporate recruiters and sales professionals are cautiously
optimistic about the longer-term outlook for the sales industry as a whole, only
six percent of sales pros say they plan to stay in their current position during
the next six months, according to a study by Hudson and Monster.com released on
February 25, 2009. The survey results also reveal that more than half (57
percent) say they plan to actively seek a new position, and another third say
they would consider a different one if it were the “right opportunity.” For more

WOMEN IN MANAGEMENT: NEW PERSPECTIVES ON CAREER GOALS & ASPIRATIONS

and other factors, it is more critical than ever for employers to retain female
middle managers and advance their careers. For the three studies Hudson released

Nearly a third (29 percent) of US workers now consider work-life balance and
flexibility to be the most important factor in considering job offers, according
to a Hudson survey released in February 2008. Compensation still matters,
of course, but it finished second (23 percent) behind lifestyle when workers
were asked to name the primary reason they accepted their current positions. Click here

survey.
